Culture Night 2017

The Grainstore is delighted to be a part of Culture Night 2017. We will be opening the doors of our beautiful venue for art workshops, dance, music acts and much more suitable for all ages. Join us from 4 - 9pm on Friday 22nd September.

Art Workshops - Upstairs Studio
4pm - 7pm

Join visual artist Tunde Toth to learn simple origami and printmaking. Participants can make a number of origami pieces and are encouraged to leave one for our large scale art piece which will grow and take shape over the evening.
Max 15 participants per workshop.
Workshops will run every 30 mins from 4pm on a first come-first served basis.
Suitable for ages 5 and upwards. Family groups welcome!

Dance Workshop - Main Hall/Courtyard
7pm - 9pm
Experience the joy of East African dance with Aisling McCormick (Ireland) and Micheal Chanda (Zambia). Using stories to create memorable movements together, find yourself transported deep into different environments. Learn new moves, find new grooves and join the fun!
Max 25 participants per workshop
Workshops will run every 30 mins from 4pm on a first come-first served basis
Suitable for ages 5 years and upwards. No experience necessary.
